In August of this year (2002), I took a rare opportunity to visit 2 incredibly special people with whom I shared some wonderful, as well as some very difficult times together in our lives. I have known Rose and Alex for more than 7 years now, and had at least a partial part to play in raising Alex when he was much younger. For reasons which don't need discussing here, our lives were separated - but the memories will live forever, and this trip was a great chance to catch up on a great deal of lost time.
